On Sunday 19th of April, the Rossendale District held it’s St. Georges Day Parade.
This annual event is held to celebrate St. George the Patron Saint of England and of Scouting and to celebrate our founder, Lord Baden-Powell.
For the second year running, the venue was Stubbylee Park in Bacup.
Squirrel Scouts, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts along with Young Leaders and Leaders representing all eight Sections took part.
Forming up before the start of the parade everyone then marched to the music of the band through the park assembling on the football field.
Here Promises were renewed before Chief Scout Awards were presented to the young people.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, and for proudly representing the 38th Rossendale.
More photos from the parade can be viewed in our Facebook Album here.
