Red Troop spent an enjoyable few hours at the Canalside Outdoor Activity and Environment Centre based in Mill Hill Blackburn.
Following a safety briefing, the Scouts prepared their canoes ready for the water activity.
On entering the water they practised manoeuvring their craft before setting off up-wind along the canal route.
On returning to the starting point, they played some games before leaving the water and storing the craft away.
Following lunch, Kelly Kettles were used to boil water ready for hot chocolate to round off the activity.
More photos from the day can be viewed on Facebook here.
