On Saturday 4th May the Squirrel’s had their second sleepover at the Warren. 9 Squirrel’s excitedly arrived early afternoon for 24 hours of fun and adventure.
The weekend started with Summer themed craft activities. Following a snack the Squirrel’s then prepared themselves for a Hike around Marl Pits leisure centre, thankfully the rain held off.
They then returned to the Warren for a tea of spaghetti bolognaise followed by some games.
A campfire, campfire songs, S’mores and hot chocolate preceded time to get ready for bed and time to relax with a film before bedtime. All Squirrel’s were asleep by 10pm.
The Squirrel’s started to wake from 7:30am on Sunday morning before tucking into breakfast of cereal and toast. The Squirrel’s packed their own bags ready for home time and enjoyed more summer themed craft.
The Squirrel’s thoroughly enjoyed the soft archery and a summer scavenger hunt around the Warren. Decorating crowns and board games followed a lunch of sandwiches, crisp, yogurt and fruit.
Home time came way too soon for some Squirrel’s who are already looking forward to their next sleepover.
Over the weekend the Squirrel’s completed their All about Adventure Challenge badge, All About Me Challenge badge, hike and nights away badges.
