The Bowley Scout Campsite was the venue for this year’s Beaver Scout Sleepover.
Due to limited resources, it was decided to limit the Beavers to one night each Colony, so it was with that the Grey Colony Beavers slept over on the Friday evening and the Purple Colony Beavers on the Saturday evening.
Once settled into their dormitories, the Grey Colony Beavers undertook the Beaver trail, looking for the hidden Beavers across the campsite.
Supper was to follow before it was time for bed.
Following flag-break, Saturday morning would see the arrival of the Purple Colony Beavers.
Everyone was split into four Groups ready for the day’s activities of Zip Wiring, Splatterpults, Grass Sledging and Craftwork.
A tea of spaghetti bolognaise would pre-empt a campfire where the Beavers were joined by the Purple Pack Cubs who were also onsite for the weekend.
Following the campfire everyone settled down to watch a film, whilst over the remainder of the evening the Grey Colony Beavers left site when collected by their parents.
It was the Purple Colony Beavers time for the flag-break on the Sunday morning before it was their turn for the Beaver trail and a visit to the camp shop.
A small snack rounded off the camp before they left site.
A massive thank you to the Leaders and Young Leaders who made the camp so successful for the Beavers.
