Two of our Leaders, Andrew and Louise Cooper, were presented with the highest Award for a volunteer from the Scout Association, the Silver Wolf at the Rossendale District Carol Service.
The Silver Wolf is the unrestricted gift of the Chief Scout and is awarded for service of the most exceptional nature.
Each of them has done over 40-years’ service to the 38th Rossendale.
Scout Leader, Pete West was presented with the Award for Merit. Another well deserved Award. Louise also received her 40-year Service Award.
They were not the only recipients of awards as some of our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts received their Chief Scout Awards.
The 38th Rossendale were one of three host Groups and many of our members participated in the “Elves on Strike” play.
It was an amazing turnout of young people from the Group and more photos from the evening can be viewed our Facebook Album here.
