On the weekend of 14-16th June, Red Troop chose to have a change of scenery and held their Summer Camp at Bibbys Farm Scout Camp, Chorley.
26 Scouts and 8 members of the leadership team had a mostly sunny, if muddy weekend (heavy rain caught us just as we’d taken most of the tents down Sunday though).
Activities included the Cave Bus, which proved popular, Shelter Building, Knife Work, Orienteering and Mini Bow making.
A game of rounders kept them busy while we cooked the BBQ and the evening was completed with a trip to the outdoor cinema to watch Gnomeo and Juliet.
The Sunday was all busy getting packed up and was concluded successfully with a trip to the camp shop and the park.
Thank you, as always to the fabulous volunteer Leaders who gave up their weekend to make this happen and to those parents who stayed late Friday and arrived early Sunday to help set up and strike camp. Pete (Section Lead).
