Purple & Grey Cub Packs recently took part in the District Cub Carol Service.

The service, organised by the Rawtenstall (21st, 38th and 45th) packs was extremely enjoyable.

Each pack put on a presentation of how Christmas is celebrated in another country (21st chose Australia, the 38th Purple chose Spain the 38th Grey chose Austria – who sang a verse of Silent Night in German! and 45th chose Ethiopia).  They sang an Australian version of Jingle Bells.

The Reach puppets performed two pieces and we also had a Christmas quiz. Over £300 was collected for “Dexter’s wish” – a local charity.

Chief Scout Silver Awards were presented to some of our members.

The evening ended with refreshments for all cubs, families and friends.
