 | With thanks to Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, twelve members of Purple Pack spent an afternoon on Clowbridge Reservoir for a sailing taster session. Following a safety briefing the Cubs were asked to identify craft, identify safe places to sail, undertake a warm up activity and learn how to safely wear buoyancy aids. The real excitement came when the Cubs split in three groups and took to the water in a sail boat which was followed by the opportunity to ride the water in a speed boat. The Cubs have earned their Level 1 Time on the Water and Sailing Staged Activity Badges. More photos from the day can be seen in our Facebook Album. | |
