| 23 excited Beavers took to the hills in the dark above Burnley. Their mission to find the Singing Ringing Tree! This musical structure is one of four Panopticans (structures providing a comprehensive view) in the East Lancashire area. Guided by their torches after a 50-minute walk they achieved their goal. Unfortunately the tree was not “singing” as a fog had descended and there was no wind! A return trip in the daylight is planned next summer. |
