Leaders, Past Members and Friends joined us at Burnley Football Club to celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of the Group. Guest of honour was Wayne Bulpitt, UK Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association.

Just short of 100 people enjoyed a three course meal with coffee, some fantastic live entertainment from Valley Academy and a disco to the early hours courtesy of Trevor Greenwood.

Jean Smith Group President and daughter of Group Founder Frank Hartley cut the anniversary cake with the assistance of Louise Cooper the Group Scout Leader and Wayne.

Louise took the opportunity to welcome and thank the guests including a member who joined the Group in its inaugural year in 1951, Neil Chadderton for his memories of the Group from the early fifties, Janet Dodd for making the anniversary cake and also to thank the Leaders for the devotion week in week out for the benefit of our young members.
