23 Scouts and 5 Leaders from both Grey & Purple Troops set off from Rossendale on a Saturday morning bound for Gilwell Park, London. After a long journey and a meal in the onsite restaurant, camp was pitched before the Scouts settled for the night ready for the week ahead.

Over the week the Scouts enjoyed personal use of the swimming pool, rifle shooting, archery, the revolving climbing wall, canoeing, the zip line and the gauntlet (a vertical assault course).

On the final day the Scouts went for a hike off site into Chingford and back via Epping Forest.

However the highlight for most was the visit to Harry Potter Studio Tour in Leavesden where it was difficult to spot the Scouts from the adults!

Congratulations to 7 Scouts from Grey Troop who also completed their Chief Scout Gold Award whilst at camp (10 for the year and counting).

The Scouts returned to Rossendale a week later tired but happy having enjoyed a good camp.
