All three Scout Troops descended onto Bowley international Scout Campsite. In total 60 Scouts, 10 Young Leaders and 11 leaders were in attendance.
The Scouts arrived on the Friday evening to erect their own tents before playing some games before bed.
Saturday was a very early start, 5:30am to be precise, thanks to some Scouts.
The Scouts were placed into 4 groups and tasked with cooking and cleaning their own shelter and kitchen during the weekend with young leaders helping to supervise.
After flag break we headed to the activities, Crate Stacking, Air Rifle, Paracording, Soft Archery, Tomahawk Throwing and Slack Line.
After these activities the Scouts made their lunch, cleaned up, then carried on with the activities.
Upon returning the Leaders got a BBQ going and the Scouts enjoyed burgers and some even had the salad on offer.
The Scouts then had a dance to keep them warm followed by cake.
The weather had been glorious all day but as the sun disappeared for the night the temperature dropped, and the Scouts then got ready for bed where they can keep warm in their tents.
As we woke on Sunday, at a much nicer time of 7am, a few drops of rain started to fall. Thankfully this didn’t last long, and the sun returned. The Scouts then had breakfast and carried on with their activities.
After activities, they had lunch then started to pack their equipment and tents away, ready for pick-up at 2pm.
By 3pm the site was clear, and the Leaders headed off back to the Warren headquarters to sort the equipment out.
Many thanks to all the Leaders for helping this weekend and we hope all the Young People had fun.
