| Congratulation to members of Purple Pack on winning the Rossendale District Cubs 6-a-side Football Competition. The semi-final was held between members of the 38th and 42nd Rossendale, whilst the other semi-final was between the 2nd and 21st Rossendale. A 0-0 final between the 2nd and 38th resulted in a penalty shoot-out which was level 2-2 after all six team members had taken their shot. A sudden death goal led to victory by the 38th.
