This year 38th Rossendale put a team into Relay for Life raising money for Cancer Research.
24 hours running (mainly walking) around the track at Marl Pits leisure centre.
There was a core team there all weekend with others dipping in and out whenever they could, and we appreciate every minute everyone could give.
As well as running around the track we also got up to a few high jinks and supported other participants during windy and wet conditions which had a habit of launching tents and shelters across the site.
We were also pleased to see so many of the Scouts taking part as members of other teams.
Despite sore feet and limbs, we focused on the task with plenty of humour and every one of us enjoyed ourselves.
Thanks to all involved both participants and supporters who helped us raise £360.00 for this worthwhile cause.
