A sunny afternoon in late September was the perfect day for our Family Scout Challenge Day.

Our members and their families were given the opportunity to try their hands at some traditional Scouting activities including cooking sausages and warming marshmallows over an open fire.

Other challenges included lighting a fire using a flint and steel, making a hot drink using a Trangia, making Bannock bread and putting up a tent.

Refreshments were available for purchase and the event raised just short of £150.00 towards Group funds.
