Approximately 50 Beaver Scouts from the Rossendale District took part in a Hike to the Haslingden Halo.

On a glorious summer’s day, the Beavers took in the views across the Rossendale Valley as they climbed higher to reach the summit of Top O’Slate above Haslingden where the Halo is located.

The 18-metre diameter “Panoptican” stands in a prominent position on the hillside and can be seen for miles around.

The Beavers were rewarded for their walking efforts with an ice lolly sat below the lattice work of the sculpture.

Everyone that took part will receive their Hikes Away Staged Activity Badge.
