Scouts from Grey, Purple and Red Troop participated in the Rossendale District Baden Powell Trophy held at the Bowley International Campsite in Great Harwood.
Competing against 6 other teams the teams of six was challenged with seven different activities.
They started off with the home base of a Pioneering Catapult which they had to build and aim beanbags at a target.
Moving onto a marble challenge they had to build a track and get the marble into the bucket. They scored on all three attempts.
Could they transfer the non-swimming Leaders across the river and in a particular order? This was completed successfully but they ran out of time measuring 4-lites of water with a 3-litre and 5-litre bottle in the second part of the base.
Boiling water in a Kelly Kettle was the next base, but not before building a fire.
Mapping out the Solar System came next followed by a spot of First Aid.
The final activity was pitching a tent, but with all but one of the team blindfolded and following the instructions of the one team member with sight.
Despite their best efforts the team finished in seventh place, but very well done to the mix of Scouts from three Troops for all doing their best.
Congratulations to the 2nd Rossendale who were the overall winners.
