Scouts Expedition Challenge

12 Scouts from Grey Troop arrived at our Warren headquarters to do the Expedition challenge on Saturday 10th October.

The Girls set off first & walked to Equestrian centre where they learned about horse safety, then had a ride & jump on the horses.

The Girls then groomed horses & mucked out the stables, once back at the Warren they put their tent up, did some painting then later in the evening the girls built and lit a fire to toast marshmallows.

On Sunday at 9.30am the girls set off to hike up to the Singing Ringing Tree above Burnley and back again finishing at 4.20pm.

The Boys set off from the Warren at 9.45am on Saturday 10th October to hike over to Ashworth Valley Scout camp in Rochdale.  Once there they pitched their tents & cooked on Trangia stoves.

On Sunday 11th October they hiked back to the Warren.

In conclusion the 12 Scouts completed the Expedition Challenge & 2 Hikes.  The Girls also completed the Equestrian badge.  Well done to them all.
