28 excited Cub Scouts spent the weekend at the Hebden Hey Scout camp site near Hebden Bridge.

Unlike the County Rally camp a few weeks before the weather was perfect for the occasion.

The Cubs explored their new surroundings and undertook craft activities and a game of Bingo before settling down for the first night.

Saturday morning saw them pitching a tent, tracking and den building followed by lunch and then a walk to Gibson Mill along Hardcastle Craggs.  Hebden Water River proved irresistible on the way back.

No camp would be complete without a camp fire on the Saturday evening.

Sunday morning was taken up with a wide-game, archery and map reading before a full Sunday-lunch was served and then it was time to pack up and go home.

The Map Reader, Outdoor Challenge and Global Challenge badges were gained over the weekend.

Every Cub was a credit to the Group.
