Grey Pack Cubs and a team made up from Grey, Purple and Red Troop Scouts took part in the County Akela Trophy and the Lord Derby (BP Trophy) competitions.
This was because of winning and being runner-up respectively in the Rossendale District competitions.
They competed in several tasks including Fire Lighting, First Aid, Pioneering, Tracking, Morse Code / Sign-language and Map & Compass.
As well as being marked on the task, the teams were marked on how well they worked together as a team.
The Scouts were rewarded for their effort by coming 2nd overall out of 10 teams from across East Lancashire.
Whilst the Cubs score fell short of the top two, they should be commended on their effort and for the inclusion of a Cub from another Group who was surplus to her own team and willingly helped the Cubs from the 38th Rossendale.
