We are pleased to announce that our Group Scout Leader, Louise Cooper has been honoured by the Chief Scout Bear Grylls.  A presentation was made at the County AGM by County Commissioner Glen Fendall.

The “Chief Scout’s Personal Award” has been awarded to Louise for outstanding dedication to Scouting despite coping with a painful illness.  It also takes into consideration her charity work with Kids in Rossendale.

Louise who also became the “Rossendale Woman of the Year” in April has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis since she was 16 years old.

She was delighted with the award that came as a complete surprise to her.
