Summer BBQ

A fun day of two-halves was enjoyed by members, family and leaders of the Group.  Face painting, bouncy castle and the stocks were just some of the activities available for all.  The day started warm and sunny and then …. the rain came!  And boy did it come!  The disco courtesy of Trevor Greenwood carried on into the evening.  Despite the weather and therefore lower than expected numbers £444.32 was raised towards Group funds.  Thank you to the Leaders and the “Friends of the 38th” for organising the event and the Members and their families for supporting the day.

Hebden Hey Scout Camp

Members of our Beaver Colony and Cub Pack recently spent the weekend at Hebden Hey Scout Camp site near Hebden Bridge.  The weather was kind to us allowing us to make the most of the local facilities.  All members enjoyed the BBQ, camp fire sing song and archery.  The Cubs visited Gibson Mill and all enjoyed the water fight in Hebden Water at the side of the camp site.  All attendees were awarded their Nights Away badge.
